Secrets Huatulco’s “Our Roots” program involves our guests in local culture through events, contests, food exhibitions, customs, clothing, music and local dance. We participate in the Huatulco Carbon Neutral program, which aims to reduce our carbon footprint through the purchase of carbon credits earned from the reforestation of certified forests. Secret Huatulco uses clean energy from a wind farm, and conserves electricity and water. We actively participate in recycling programs and provide reusable paper to the Piña Palmera Civil Association, where people with special needs use paper to create crafts that they then sell to earn an income.
